Do What Your Not Doing

I wanted to write a post that no matter what area of business or life or whatever you are talking about, if you apply this little theory you will begin to see greater success in that area.

No matter what you are doing, one way that you can achieve greater success in the area is to make sure you are doing something which is different to everybody else that is also in the same area.

No matter what it is, if you do the same as every other Joe Blow out there you will never stand out, and you will never get ahead by leaps and bounds.

For example, an affiliate marketing company I work with online give out free templates to promote their products. These templates all contain around 10-15 articles, a header, some pictures and a page to add your own reviews to the products.

Now when your searching for these products or a variety of other related terms on Google or whatever, these same looking sites, with the same articles, the same pictures and same headers keep popping up. Even the sites with different headers still all look the same and have the same feel to them.

The end result, these websites suck, surfers come to kind of ignore them, and there money goes to another site and the affiliates whine and think they have been ripped of because they put there lousy time into this site.

I too had one of these sites, i have had it now for just less than a year, i re-wrote the articles for the serps, threw up some reviews, and wallah left it sit there for 9 months. In that time I made 3 sales, around $200-250 and around 200 bucks in adsense.

About two weeks ago I had a look at this site and laughed at it it was horrible and worst of all it was the same as everyone else promoting these products were doing.

To cut the story short, I did a total remake of the site, the only thing it cost me was around 10- bucks for some sexy pictures, 5 bucks for a new header, and a couple of days of my time.

I made my site look different, I added some spice, I made it unique, I added VALUE!

In this last 2 weeks I have now had another 3 sales, that is as many in 2 weeks as the same ole' site as everyone else made in 9 months with the same amount of traffic.

Make whatever you do unique and add value and the success and the money will soon follow.

I'm sure you think of numerous examples where doing things different than the rest of the mob has resulted in increased success for someone or for yourself.

Change some things in your life or in your business and the results will follow.

To Your Success,

Troy

The Most Important Thing You Can Ever Do...

Whether we are talking about relationships, business, internet marketing or life in general there is one principle thing that you should be aiming to do and it is really simple and that is:

You Need To Add Value to whatever you are doing. The more value you put into something especially compared to what people are expecting then the greater the rewards for you will be.

The more value you supply to your relationship then of course the stronger and happier it is going to be, the more value your product transfers to your customer the more they are willing to pay or perhaps the more often they are willing to return. The more value you supply to your client of course the more they are willing to pay for your service.

It really is that simple, if you wish to increase your income by the end of this month then no matter what business/job you are in, go and get a piece of paper and write down how you can add more value to what you do, and if you do it, then in return you will see the benefits within the next month.

Examples:
  • If your an electrician then when you go and do a job at someones house, give them a couple of energy saving light globes tell them it's free just as a complementary thing for using your service.
  • If you create websites for clients, create an extra page or add an extra feature to their site, it might take you an extra hour but you will reap the rewards worth more than that hour work.
  • If your working for your boss and he asks you to have something done and on his desk by Friday, then get it done by Thursday or Wednesday, or hand it on Friday along with something else that he isn't expecting to arrive until the next week.
  • If you own and operate a website and you want to know how to increase the income it derives then you need to add value. If there is value in your site then people will come back and visit, visit ads on your page or buy your products or your affiliate products because they have more trust in you.
VALUE VALUE VALUE

If you add value in the above ways or anyways that you come up with, you will almost immediately start to see more repeat business/visitors, people willing to pay you more money and referrals from people telling their friends about you/your product or service. Take for example the electrician. The people that received complementary energy saving light globes, next time someone is looking for an electrician they will give your number out.

Whatever people are expecting out of your service or product you need to give them an extra percent on top of this, if you begin to do this as of tomorrow you will begin see your income increase.

So go and get that piece of paper, and write down how you can add value to what you are doing.

Adding value,

Troy

Dominating A Niche in Internet Marketing

Many people on forums, websites etc. are always asking things like, can you still make money with adsense? should I start making sites for adsense? How should i go about making money online? Should I Do affiliate marketing? Should I make My own product? Should I start a blog? Should I build a list?

And I mean the answer will depend on what you enjoy doing and what you want out of your internet marketing. But if you want to be successful and dominate the niche that you are in then your business plan should include all of the above things.

If you only concentrate only on adsense or only on affiliate marketing then your leaving a massive chunk of profits in cyber space.

Understandably you may wish to concentrate on one area at a time but eventually if you wish to dominate your particular niche you want to try to monetize this niche in numerous ways

An example, if you start a site on weight loss I would recommend

  • Content rich site, unique content with integrated adsense ads
  • Review page recommending a number of affiliate products (can be information products ie clickbank, (but best to sell your own information product) or products such as weight loss pills, exercise balls, treadmills etc etc etc.
  • Create your own information product in your niche sell it to your visitors
  • Close each article directing them to your affiliate product review or your own information product
  • Create a blog in your niche and keep it updated, search engines love blogs with updated content and blogs are easily used to create link bait articles, or to post viral videos.
  • Build a list, and supply them with content and sales pitches.
  • Once traffic has been built start a forum for your niche. forums can make your site sticky, make people continually return, and build you free related content which the search engines will love.
If your going to build a site on your niche whatever it may be, do a good job of it, don't just put up some crappy content and make money from adsense.

Do it right, monetize it from a variety of angles. people looking for information will, generate adsense clicks or buy your information product, people looking for products will buy your products. people that don't know what they are looking for can be sold almost anything niche related through email marketing.

Play all the angles and you will boost the income generated by your website tenfold.

To Blog Or Not To Blog

As personal development, business, wealth creation and sales guru Jim Rohn has recently taught me if you want to be successful you need to begin using a journal. I myself have a journal where I write my thoughts, my ideas, my goals, to do lists, views, feelings, etc etc.

Although this journal has a lot of highly personal information in it and no one is permitted to read it I have decided that there is also a great deal of information, ideas and thoughts that were not highly personal and too keep them to myself is indeed truly a waste and perhaps even somewhat selfish.

So I have decided that in conjunction with my journal I am going to blog and share some of my less personal thoughts about wealth creation, personal development and life in attempt to share my past experience, help me further understand myself/life and hopefully help/inspire other people in the process.

Enjoy.
